The Passion of Christ Collection

Easter of 2004, painters, musicians, writers and spoken word artists came together to celebrate Christ's passion at The Well. The story of his passions came alive in our hearts again as we witnessed the intimacy of his last supper with his disciples, the anguish of the garden, his betrayal with a kiss, the hysteria of the mob at his trial, his soulful sojourn on that road to calvary, his anguished cry as he took God's wrath on the cross, and finally his triumphal resurrection from the tomb.

These pieces of art were rendered live during the service and continue to grace the walls of our sanctuary as a memorial to Christ's loving sacrifice. These paintings hang in this on-line gallery, not for the admiration of their beauty alone, but that Christ's beauty might be admired and adored.

Featured Artists: Silas Clarke, Cate Jones, Sarah Nordbye
Art Direction: Jim Andrew

Life is joyless without the beautiful gift of outward expression; for it is sharing joy that makes it complete. Even grief and sorrow are better borne when shouldered together. The most splendid idea is fruitless until it is shared. This is what makes communication such a marvelous gift from God. From speech and song, to storytelling and social commentary, to poetry and parable, God has given us a powerful means of expressing ourselves as humans and reflecting Him as God. We invite you to share your own creative expressions and reflections by adding them to this living library.
