Vice - Worship Pastor
I have always loved and called Portland
my home. The Portland rain is comforting,
the Portland Trailblazers are my
team and the people of Portland
are beautiful.
From a young age God called me
to be His own and since then I have
never been the same. Eric Knox came
to be my Youth Pastor in 1995 and
honestly I didn’t really like
the man. He came change’n
the rules and acting like he was
in charge. If it weren’t for
the persistence and hammer-like
determination of my mother, I probably
would have left the church. That
pushy Youth Pastor eventually became
my mentor and taught me to be leader.
Through High School and College,
as I grew and matured, a passion
for ministry and worship gripped
my heart. I began playing the guitar
and leading worship and by the time
I was a freshman in college, I was
married and part of The Well Church’s
inception. After a year God moved
us around as He taught us what service
and dedication was all about. My
wife and I served the youth at a
two different churches while I finished
my degree in music and worship leadership.
Four years later God called us
back to The Well to be the Supreme
Ruler of Everything and Worship
Pastor… finally a worthy title!
We know that the Lord has orchestrated
our return and we thank God for
His sovereignty. We have found such
great friendships, grounded and
anchored in the gospel of Christ,
and look forward to seeking the
cross in everything, especially
worship.
Family
Erin Marie is my wonderful wife. We met in High School,
married at 19, and now we have a baby, Nehemiah! Erin teaches grade school
and puts up with me… two full-time
jobs. I absolutely love being an
uncle, (Eleanor, Tommy, Asher, &
Ezra), and I’m a dang good
one.
